Kogi govt pays tribute to Justice Adamu, hails legacy of integrity

The Kogi State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Justice Yahaya Adamu, describing his death as a profound loss to the judiciary and the state at large.

In a statement, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo paid glowing tribute to the late jurist, noting that his unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and the rule of law earned him widespread respect, while his legacy will continue to inspire generations within the legal profession.

In the statement signed on Sunday by Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communications, in a release on Sunday stated that Justice Adamu until his demise stood as a distinguished pillar of the judiciary, renowned for his unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and the rule of law.

“His contributions to the administration of justice in Kogi State earned him widespread respect and admiration across the legal community and beyond.

“The government notes that, during his period of illness, deliberate efforts were made to ensure he received the best possible medical care. Despite these interventions, his passing remains a painful and profound loss to his family, the judiciary, and the entire State.”

According to the statement, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, described the late jurist as “a reputable voice in the temple of justice,” noting that his wealth of experience, wisdom, and dedication to fairness will be sorely missed.

“The governor added that Justice Adamu’s legacy of service and commitment to justice will continue to inspire generations within the legal profession.

“On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Kogi State Judiciary, and all who were touched by his exemplary life of service.
