ANLCA not involved in any Western Zone Chapters election – Secretary

….insists act carried out by impostors, expired BoT members

The Tuesday election of the Western Zone Chapters of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), has been described as illegal carried out by fake personalities.

The National Executive Council (NECOM) of ANLCA has thereto distanced itself from the election said to have been conducted by one Obi Chima Best on Tuesday and Thursday at a location in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State.

In an official disclaimer made available to Nation Update by ANLCA National Secretary,
Alhaji Abdulazzez Mukaila, the said information on election was an act perpetuated by impostors, as the association has only one Electoral Committee chaired by Barr Raymond Onyimba.

According to the disclaimer, the company under which the said Obi Chima Best operates, ‘North Atlantic Limited’ is a defaulting company and therefore does not qualify to participate in any ANLCA activities, talk less of producing the chairman of the ASECO.

The disclaimer partly reads: “The National President Iju Tony Nwabunike has directed a reaction to false publication signed by one Chima Obi Best claiming Chairmanship of ANLCA Association Electoral Commission (ASECO).

“For clarification, the Chairman of ANLCA ASECO remained Brr, Oyimba Raymond Enekwechi as ratified by National Executive Council (NEC) copy approval hereby attached.

“Consequently, Obi Chima Best been a member/Staff of North Atlantic Transit Limited, a defaulter Corporate Company with personal staff I.D. No. EZ1500000178 is NOT and does NOT qualifies even if any as a non-stakeholder nominal director without single share of his Corporate employer. Status attached.

“The General Public and members of ANLCA is hereby enjoined to disregards such Publication as expired Board of Trustee and Non shareholder ordinary Corporate member does not perform ASECO Committee function in ANLCA,” the report stated.
