Engr Iwuanyanwu Popularly known as ‘Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo’ passed on Thursday, July 25, 2024, after a brief illness.

Aguene expressed his deepest shock that Chief Iwuanyanwu could pass on at a time the great vision he has for the Igbo race and Southeast in particular was coming to fruition.
Recalling his closeness, interactions and many ideas shared with the notable Igbo son Late Chief Iwuanyanwu.

Chief Aguene reminiscing the good days with Iwuanyanwu as his fondness in calling him(Aguene) ‘Capacity President’.
Mayor Aguene regretted that death is an inevitable end that must come when it wills, therefore prayed that God will grant his immediate family the
fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Called on all lgbo sons and
daughters home and abroad;
Southeast Governors, Senators and members of the
Federal House of
Representative, to brace up to giving this late lgbo
icon, Ahaejiagamba ,a
befitting burial he deserves.

Was a National and International figure, an engineer of repute, philanthropist, politician, football enthusiast, a devout christian, a symbol of true lgbo and an accomplished entrepreneur.

The Lagos Ohaneze President said, “It behoves on us all not to allow his legacies to diminish or be trampled upon.”

before his demise, it was at such event Chief Aguene presented an art work of repute to the worthy Igbo son and Ohaneze President worldwide.

Confirming the death in statement from the family signed by Jide Iwuanyanwu, on Thursday 25 July, 2024 read as in, “The
Iwuanyanwu family of
Umuohii Atta, in lkeduru Local
Government Area of Imo
State announces the demise
of our patriarch, Engr Chief
Emmanuel Chukwuemeka
Iwuanyanwu-Ahaejiagamba
Ndigbo.”
“He passed on this Thursday, July 25, 2024, after a brief illness. He was aged 82.

“Chief lwuanyanwu before his
death was President General
of Ohanaeze Ndigbo
worldwide and President of
Owerri Peoples Assembly”
Late Chief Iwuanyanwu left
Behind his wife, Frances
Iwuanyanwu, as well as his children and grandchildren.”
The statement stated that the
family will announce funeral
arrangements after necessary
consultations.

Late Prof Obiozor
Chief Iwuanyanwu took over from Professor George Obiozor who died in December 2022 after about one year into his four years tenure expected to end by January 2025, creating a vacuum of six months into the allotted turn of Imo state for the apex Ohaneze leadership.
