Ododo’s appointment will boost Tinubu’s campaign in Kogi — Group

The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has congratulated the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his appointment as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council, describing the position as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership capacity and organisational ability.

The group also commended his designation as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign, saying the dual responsibility would further galvanise members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state for the party’s success at the polls.

In a statement on Sunday, the Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Samuel Obasun, said Ododo’s appointment reflected confidence in his ability to mobilise the party’s structures and coordinate grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Obasun said the governor had demonstrated strong leadership by sustaining peace, discipline and unity within the APC in Kogi State, adding that the political structure under his leadership was adequately positioned to deliver a decisive victory for the President.

“The appointment of Governor Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council is well deserved. His appointment as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign will further spur all the Ododo foot soldiers to work harder and deliver Kogi State to Mr President,” he said.

According to him, Ododo had ensured that the APC remained focused and united while building a structure capable of mobilising voters and consolidating the party’s support across the state.

He further attributed the growing support for the President in Kogi to what he described as the visible impact of Federal Government interventions and projects in the state, as well as initiatives of the Ododo administration.

Obasun said developments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security, among other sectors, had demonstrated the benefits of cooperation between the Federal and Kogi State governments.

He expressed confidence that the projects and interventions would resonate with voters and strengthen support for President Tinubu at the forthcoming presidential election.

The coordinator assured that members of the Jagaban Grassroots Movement and other supporters of the President in Kogi State would work closely with Governor Ododo and the campaign organisation to mobilise support and secure an overwhelming victory.

He said Kogi was prepared to reciprocate what he described as President Tinubu’s special attention to the state with a strong electoral mandate, adding that the movement was confident in Ododo’s capacity to lead the campaign to victory.
