Ecobank leads at Legends Of Nollywood, as Ohaneze President, Olu Jacob, RMD, Papi Luwe, others bag award

The pan African bank, Ecobank has once again taken it’s social responsibility gesture to another level as it sponsors a second time, the notable Nollywood icons awards with Ngozi Ezeonu, Sunday Ogunmola (Papi Luwe).Ernest Obi, Ngozi Nwosu, Legema, Obi Osotule, Gloria Young benefiting.

Chief Solomon Ogbonna, President Ohaneze Ndigbo, Lagos State, Prince Clem Agba (Minister Budget and Planning), Alhaji Fatai Ayoola Chairman Ajoromi Ifelodu LGA, Chief (Dr.) Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odi in their category bagged Patriarch Legends of Nollywood Award.

The event, Legends of Nollywood (LoN) group Award was led by its President, Paul Obazele, who was also two term President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP).

The programme was initiated as an avenue where veterans in the industry are recognised and celebrated.

Life Time Achievement Award, category went to Olu Jacob, Joke Silva and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).

Notable distinguished guests that graced the occasion include; Apostle Anselm and Pastor (Mrs) Emmy Madubuko, Zeb Ejiro, Ralph Nwadike, Favour Benson, Zik Zulu, Memuna Yahaya and other dignatories that cuts across all strata of the entertainment industry.

Amazed by this feat of Ecobank, different Heads of Guilds and Associations have continued to fall at each other to have a working relationship with the bank, even as they have promised to do more.

Obazele had at the last edition of 2020, stated, “We started this training programme last year with support of Ecobank and we decided to continue with support from Ecobank”.

This yearly Legend of Nollywood Award was instituted in 2012 to recognise the contributions of practitioners who contributed in no small measure in birthing the Nollywood industry.
