IGP Adamu dropped, Alkali takes over

Alkali, Buhari and Adamu

President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the appointment of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector General of police.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi who made this known said Baba replaced Adamu whose tenure was recently extended.

It would be recalled that Buhari had on in February, extended the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police for three months.
