“You are not accepted in Imo,” Uzodimma tells IPOB

The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, has taken a swipe on the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), and its leadership not to enter the state for any form of agitation in any guise.

Uzodimma stated clearly that every of their agitation should end at the boundaries of sister south eastern states of Anambra and Abia, as his government will not tolerate any of such agitation.

The governor while addressing journalists in the state during the week unmistakable stated that his believe and commitment to one United and indivisible Nigeria cannot be compromised, that he is working tirelessly to position the state on the right track, will therefore not tolerate any form of agitation from IPOB.

He warned the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kalu to call his men to order, stating that he is not against the group agitating in other states, that he is against it holding in Imo State, he can’t guarantee such as the chief security officer of the state.

“I am the number one citizen in Imo State today and if anything goes wrong, people will hold me accountable. It has come to my notice that members of the Indigenous people of Biafra known as IPOB wish to embark on an agitation rally in all the Eastern states ones the lockdown is fully relaxed.

“I am using this medium to pass a message across to them that Imo State government will never tolerate any form of agitation whatsoever and anybody who tends to violate this order will have him or herself to be blamed.

“I am not saying they should not agitate, but let them not enter Imo State. It’s better they stop their agitation at Anambra -Imo and Abia -Imo boundaries respectfully because my government will never tolerate any form of insubordination and violence against the leadership of Nigeria.

“Nnamdi Kanu should better call them to order now because anyone who dare step his foot in Imo will be arrested and prosecuted,” Uzodimma stated

Uzodimma has since his declaration as governor of the state in January 2020 by the Supreme Court continued to warn perceived dissidents in the state.

He has on many occasions called that a stop be put to demonstrations against his pronouncement as governor, to giving orders for arrest of anyone calling him supreme court governor and to IPOB once more on their activities in the state.
