Redeemed Church ordains over 17,000 as Pastors, deacons

Charged with the responsibility of further enlargement of the church and in providing leadership, the General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has ordained 17,763 new ministers of the church.
The ordination that occurred in two separate days saw 2,231 ordained as full-time Pastors, 4,726 as Assistant Pastors, and 10,806 as Deacons and Deaconesses.
Their inauguration took place during the just-concluded 69th edition of the RCCG annual convention.
As tradition, the one-week programme kicked off with Adeboye leading thousands of members on a prayer walk.
Adeboye conducted the investiture with his wife, Pastor Folu, and other top officials.In his remarks, the revered cleric congratulated and prayed for all graduates of the RCCG Bible College and charged them to lead the congregants in their respective parishes and provinces aright.
According to Mr. Emmanuel a Deacon of the Church, who narrated how the two separate ordinations were conducted said,
“Deacons, Deaconesses and APs (Assistant Pastors) were ordained on Thursday, Pastors were inducted yesterday (Saturday)”, he said.
