Promise Kept: Tin-Can Customs takes delivery of mobile cargo scanners

The joy of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Area Controller of Tin-Can Port Command and his men knew no bounds as they
took the delivery of two Nuctech mobile cargo scanners MT1213DE with accessories.as promised by the Controller general of Customs.
The delivery had arrived on board Glovis Horizon Leader from the Port of Shanghai, China.

“The key objective of deploying scanners is to reduce very significantly the time needed for physical inspection of goods which generates extensive cost and creates multiple burdens and inconveniences for both the importers and the customs operations”, he stated.

The Customs Area Controller While expressing the Command’s excitement on the determination of the Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd) led management team for making his promise come true, he said they have “worked the talk” on the procurement of scanners.
