Okigwe Zone’s development hinges on positive Attitudinal Change – Sen. Ndubueze

Senator Patrick Ndubueze, representing Imo North(Okigwe Zone), has urged youths from Okigwe zone to adopt a positive attitudinal change and support their leaders to drive development in the zone.

 Speaking at the Okigwe Zonal Youth Digestive Forum Summit, held at the Rockview Hotel, Owerri on Saturday, 5th July 2025 with the theme “OKIGWE ZONE- THE WAY FORWARD”, Ndubueze emphasized that constructive criticism, rather than destructive attacks, would encourage leaders to work towards the zone’s progress.

The senator represented by Ethelbert Nwachukwu highlighted his achievements, including the establishment of a federal university in Okigwe zone, and assured the youths of his continued commitment to the zone’s development. He also praised the state governor for his efforts and called on the youths to support him.

Ndubueze’s message was echoed by guest lecturer Prof. Nnamdi Obiaraeri, who stressed the need for unity and a “new normal” in Okigwe zone.

Obiaraeri further advocated for a governor from Okigwe zone in the next Imo State government, however emphasized that this can only be achieved if the zone adopts a more positive and supportive attitude.

The summit, which had notable personalities as Hon. Chike Okafor, representing Okigwe South at the House of Representatives Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri and Chief Michael D. Ejiogu in attendance whereas Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and Athan Achonu had thier representatives stood in for them called for reconciliation, peace, and unity in Okigwe zone to drive development and progress.
