Lagos council chair assures quality education

The Executive Chairman, Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Adebayo Olasoju has said he would use his office to improve the standard of education in the area adding every stakeholder would be carried along. 

Olasoju gave this assurance when the executives of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) led by its Secretary (ES), Barrister Femi Ogunwusi paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The team had come to congratulate the Mayor of Isolo on his emergence at the recently concluded local council polls and also table their demands.

Ogunwusi, in his remarks, advised the council to continually involve the education body in its various projects for the sector explaining that their active involvement would bring about synergy and speedy results.

He pleaded his office be involved in the budget appropriation and retreat of the council as well as other strategic policy meetings for participation and significant input.

Olasoju who appreciated the visit of the stakeholders noted the viable way to achieving his administration’s plan for education was to sustainably work hand-in-hand with all and sundry in the sector.

He further noted that education made the front row in his “Isolo of our dream” agenda adding the partnership of the education body, corporate organizations, parents and other stakeholders was needed to move the council forward.

The council boss noted the height at which the sector would be improved on would see students of public schools in the council area triumphantly compete against their counterparts from other council areas of the state in government-owned and private schools.

Olasoju expressed the desire to have the Council’s “One Day Governor” laurel drought ended during his tenure as he assured that every stakeholder would be duly carried along on the developmental course.

He nevertheless, appreciated the portraiture the education body presented to him.
