The Kogi State Government has congratulated renowned investigative journalist and media professional, Mr. Babajide Otitoju, on his appointment as Director of News, Television Continental (TVC).

The Government described the development as a proud moment for Kogi State and the Nigerian media industry.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday by Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Commissioner for Information and Communications, the State Government noted that Mr. Otitoju, a distinguished son of Kogi State, has built an outstanding career marked by professionalism, courage, integrity, and an indomitable commitment to investigative journalism.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended Mr. Otitoju for his consistency, depth, and impact in the media space, noting that his appointment is a testament to years of hard work and journalistic excellence.

“Babajide Otitoju has, over the years, distinguished himself as one of the finest investigative journalists in Nigeria. His appointment as Director of News of TVC is well deserved and speaks volumes about his credibility, competence, and dedication to the profession,” the Governor said.

Governor Ododo added that Mr. Otitoju’s rise to this strategic position underscores the growing influence of Kogi indigenes in national discourse and public service, expressing confidence that he will bring his wealth of experience, editorial discipline, and ethical standards to bear in his new role.

The Governor further expressed optimism that Otitoju’s appointment would strengthen quality journalism, deepen accountability, and elevate public trust in the media.
