Imo State: Students association to re-visit infrastructural, academic dvpt at AGM, Dec 28

Uboma Secondary School Ikperejere (USSI) Old Students’ Association in lhitte-Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and End of Year get-together this December.
The AGM/end of year get-together which will be held on the 28 December, at the school premises will be hosted by the Class of 1982. It is expected to focus on the association’s roles in the infrastructural and academic development of their Alma Mater.
Top priority of the event includes unveiling of the School’s Ultra-modern Main Gate which was donated and installed by the Class 1982, unveiling of the state-of-the-art signpost in continuation of the structural rebranding and repositioning activities of the school.
Also, novelty match between 1990 and 1991 sets in Honour of distinguished Senator Frank Ibezim, representing Okigwe Senatorial zone, recognition of members who have attained commendable heights on the success ladder in Nigeria and across the globe.
Okonkwo said that the vision of the association which was formed 10 years ago was to be one of the best old students’ associations that will add value to both alma mater and the entire society.

According to the deputy comptroller, the association has continued to give back to the society through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy of helping people in need, including members as well as encouraging young brilliant students to excel in major areas of academics especially Sciences, mathematics and English through awards and prizes to best performing students.
