The early morning lethal lightening of Wednesday has cut short the life of three officers of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) who are in the early morning parade.

The incident which took place at the Ogun state Command at Itele – Ijebu Command Post of the FRSC, along Ijebu – Ode – Ore expressway, around 10am had the three officer killed and threw other officer around to the ground convulsively.

The lightening which took everyone within the parade ground located around the office premises off balance that morning as they were carrying out their morning parade also threw electrical shock wave into the premises.

As it is believed that such death could have been caused by the god of thunder, traditional worshipers believed to be Sango priests were spotted around the scene to carry out some rites on the corpses before they could be released for burial or otherwise.

Even as the incident was confirmed by the FRSC Public Education and enlightenment Officer in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, who declined speaking further, she stated that official release on the tragedy would be made.

She also confirmed that the Corps’s Sector Commander has visited the area to see for himself.
