FRSC attributes 5 deaths in Q2 to speed limit violation

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Badagry Command of Lagos State has attributed the untimely death of 5 persons in the area in the 2 quarter of the year to speed limit violation. 

Speaking on Friday at the Second Quarter Retreat organized for Officers and Men of the command, the FRSC Badagry Unit Commander, Mr Sulaiman Taiwo, bemoaned the spate of violation of speed limit and carelessness on the part of the driver.

Dwelling on the theme of the retreat: “Utilising Customer Relations After the End-Sars Protest” the commander urged motorists to cooperate with officers and men of the command for safer roads within the area.

The crash that resulted in the death of the five persons according to him occurred between Agogo igbala and Mowo axis along Lagos Badagry Expressway, cautioned motorists to avoid dangerous driving and speed limit violation.

Taiwo assured that the command would continue to evolve training and human capital development strategies that would promote excellence in the Services of the FRSC.

Officers he stated are expected to assist in implementing government’s development goals, adding that the training and retraining would continue to be part of the commission’s strategy for assured maximum results.
