Facebook joins Twitter, deletes Buhari’s war threat post

The social media giant, Facebook, has also deleted the war threat post of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari few days after Twitter did same.

The microblogging and social networking service Twitter deleted the same tweet from the president’s handle for violating its terms and conditions.

Facebook however said on Friday it has deleted same post for violating its community standards against inciting violence.

“In line with our global policies, we’ve removed a post from President Buhari’s Facebook page for violating our Community Standards against inciting violence.

“We remove any content, from individuals or organizations that goes against our policies on this platform,” stated Facebook Spokesperson.

Reacting to the development, former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, commended the platform for the decision to delete the president’s post.

“Facebook has also taken down the tyrant’s genocidal post. We are grateful to Mark Zuckerberg.

“We urge Facebook to permanently suspend Muhammadu Buhari like they did to Trump.

“He is a bloodthirsty warmonger that should be shut out of decent society,” Omokri stated.
