FAAN bans non travellers into airports

As arrangement are in top gear for the resumption of air travels within the country, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has asked non-travellers to stay away from airports.

The agency in its Twitter handle advised persons coming to pick up arriving passengers, to remain in their cars until the passenger exits airport entrance.

“Non-travelling passengers will not be allowed into the Airport Terminal Buildings.

“People coming to pick up arriving passengers are advised to remain in their cars until passengers exit the gate. Stay safe,” the tweet read.

According to FAAN travellers must wear face masks and maintain two metres distance from each other while in the airports.

Even as date for the reopening of airports is mot clearly stated, the agency had issued a statement ealier in the week, advising passengers to arrive at airports three hours before take-off to ensure proper checks and adherence to COVID-19 rules.
