By Florence Kalu

Ahead of the off-season governorship election in Edo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to resist an alleged ‘Hope Uzodimma Template’ by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig its candidate out at the election.

The rulling party in the state the PDP said on Sunday it had uncovered the plan being hatched  by the APC in next September 19 governorship election in the state.

Chris Nehikhare, the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state who disclosed this at a press conference in Benin, said the APC planned to write the fake results in hotel rooms and smuggle same in at collation centres where they would be forced down on the electoral officials.

The ‘Uzodimma template’ the party alleged would be carried out through the APC’s already perfected plans of disruption of voting in certain units and wards across the state during the election with the aim of presenting fake results at the elections tribunal.
