Easter: Maritime police celebrate with Christians, assures of coverage, safety on waterways within, beyond holiday season

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba, has extends warmth Easter greetings to all maritime stakeholders, business community, and especially Christian faithful across Nigeria.

Garba therefore reassures the public of robust security arrangements across the maritime domain.

In a release signed by ASP Adebayo Rasheed Public Relations Officer of the command on Thursday 17 April made available to Nation Update, the AIG on behalf of the officers and men of the Command felicitates with all Christians at this season marking the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The maritime police boss reassures the public of robust security arrangements across the maritime domain. He confirmed that adequate human, material, and operational assets have been strategically deployed to ensure full coverage and safety on Nigeria’s inland waterways throughout and beyond the holiday season.

He said, “The Maritime Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety of lives, property, and maritime operations during this festive season and always.”

He encouraged all citizens to celebrate responsibly, urging them to remain law-abiding and security-conscious.

However appealed to the public and media professionals to avoid the spread of misinformation, emphasized the importance of credible information in supporting public safety and national security.
