COVID-19 now in 30 States, as Bayelsa, Kebbi join

In the recent release for Sunday 26 April, 2020 made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) at 11:50pm, 91 new cases of coronavirus was confirmed in 15 states with three states officially recording their index cases to join other 27 States.

According to NCDC, states with index cases are, Bayelsa, Kebbi and Ebonyi state that have one each.

The breakdown showed that Lagos is still in the lead of number of new cases with 48, eight in Sokoto, six in Taraba and five cases each in Kaduna and Gombe state.

Ondo, Edo, Abuja, Rivers, Oyo and Bauchi states recorded three cases each, while Osun state recorded two.

The total recorded case of coronavirus in the country stands at 1,273, whereas 239 people have been discharged, while 40 deaths have been recorded.  Of the total cases, Lagos has 731 cases
