Comrade Nwaire pays historic visit to Archbishop-Elect

The Special Assistant (SA) to the Imo State Governor, Comrade Sam Nwaire recently paid a historic courtesy visit  to the Archbishop-Elect, His Grace Most Rev. Dr. David Onuoha.

Nwaire the S.A. on Power & Energy to Governor Hope Uzodimma made the historic visit to the new Archbishop-Elect, Owerri Ecclesiastical Province of the Church of  Nigeria, Anglican Communion at the Episcopal Villa, Ezeoke -Nsu, Ehime Mbano of Imo state.

Comrade Nwaire who according  to the primate was the first government official to visit him since his election last month, rejoiced with the Bishop, the Diocese of Okigwe South, the Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, the state and the Church of Nigeria.

He  expressed that Bishop Onuoha’s humility has elicited  God’s favour and mankind unto him, stating that his victory at the keenly contested position was but manifestation of grace  of God in his life.

Nwaire who is also a parishioner of the bishop was accompanied by other dignitaries even as he gave God glory for raising the Prelate to such exalted position, being the first son of Ihitte/ Uboma and by extension Okigwe zone to attain such height in the church.

The entire Imo state he said, were solidly behind the Bishop as he leads the flock placed in his care by the all knowing God who makes no mistake in his decisions to the promised land.

Welcoming his guests, Bishop Onuoha thanked Nwaire for finding time in his busy schedules to come and felicitate with him and the Church of God.

Onuoha restated that its gratifying to note that he was the first government official to take such step since his election, he however commended Governor Uzodimma for appointing him SA. on Power & Energy, emphasising that his appointment was nothing short of placing a round peg in a round hole.

Bishop Onuoha who is the Lord Bishop of Okigwe South encouraged  him not to relent in giving  his best to the state and to bring his wealth of experience to  bare in the ministry he supervises.

He prayed for God’s guidance, direction and wisdom to him and to the state government to move the state to enviable height.

Nwaire has put in many years of impeccable  records in the power sector, from the days of National Electronic Power Authority (NEPA), down to Power Holding Company of Nigeria(PHCN), where he rose to the position of Regional Manager.

Prior to the unbundling of the sector to Distribution Companies (DisCos) and Generating Companies(GenCos) he served at the Eko Electricity Distribution Company PLC,(EKEDC) from where he disengaged in 2019.
