Adeyanju lauds Bunu’s leadership, wishes him well on birthday

Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, the immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has celebrated his successor Bunu’s birthday, highlighting his achievements and wishing him well in his role as leader of the union.

In a release made available by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, head of Media, MWUN, Adeyanju said, “The agile and pragmatic PG of MWUN Comrade Bunu has exceeded expectations, and I am proud to say he’s done an outstanding job as my successor.

“I’m thoroughly impressed by his leadership, and I’m celebrating him today with unbridled joy and admiration. He’s proven to be a worthy successor, and I’m confident he’ll continue to lead the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria with excellence.”

“The past president further stated that Comrade Bunu will undoubtedly continue to steer the Union towards greatness, guided by his purposeful focus, discipline, commitment, and care for workers and executives alike.

“As an Ijaw-born labour warrior, fierce activist, and seasoned maritime administrator, he’s the perfect fit for the role.”

He went on to say, “Though I’m unable to join you physically to celebrate this special day, my heart is with you, Comrade Bunu. Today is a moment of joy, gratitude, and celebration. May the Almighty God bless, protect, and provide for you always, granting you wisdom, good health, and longevity as you lead the Union to greater heights.

“Happy birthday, brother and Comrade! May your leadership continue to inspire success, and may God bless you and your loved ones. Hip, Hip, Hip, Hurray!”
