Akutah felicitates Muslim Ummah, calls for unity, peaceful coexistence

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Pius Akutah, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Benue State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Akutah commended Muslim faithful for their steadfast devotion, discipline and spiritual commitment throughout the fasting period, noting that the values of sacrifice, patience, compassion and generosity remain vital to building a united, peaceful and prosperous society.

He urged the faithful to sustain the noble lessons of Ramadan by promoting peace, tolerance and mutual understanding among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences. According to him, the nation’s strength lies in its diversity and collective resolve to foster unity and national cohesion.

The maritime sector regulator further called on citizens to use the Eid celebration to offer fervent prayers for the peace, security and progress of Benue State and Nigeria, especially at a time when shared purpose and solidarity are most needed.

Reaffirming his commitment to the advancement of Benue State and the well-being of its people, Akutah reiterated his dedication to initiatives that promote development, inclusiveness and equal opportunities for all citizens.

“Eid-el-Fitr is not only a time of celebration but also a moment for reflection on our shared humanity and responsibilities toward one another,” he said.

He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous and fulfilling Eid celebration marked by abundant blessings and renewed hope.
