Suspected herdsmen attack Gov Ortom Saturday afternoon

Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen launched an attack on the convoy of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State at Tyo-mu along Makurdi, Gboko road of the state.
The governor was said to be on his way to Makurdi, the state capital when the suspected herdsmen opened fire on his convoy but were repelled by his security men.
Speaking to Nation Update, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase, confirmed the report however promised to give update on the matter.
Details on level of damages and casualties are sketchy at the time being.
