Obaseki celebrates Igbinedion at 87, describes him as generational gift

Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of Edo state has joined well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate the 87th birthday of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, described in Benin.

At the birthday thanksgiving service to mark the celebration held at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, Sapele Road, Benin City, Obaseki thanked God for the life Chief Igbinedion who is the Esama of Benin kingdom.

The governor described the philanthropist as a generational gift to the state and the nation at large.

“I thanked God for the life of our father, Chief Igbinedion, as he celebrates his birthday. We pray that God continues to preserve him.

Chief Igbinedion is a generational gift to the state, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large; he has seen and done it all. We thank God for his life of giving, hard work and generosity. I join others to wish him well.

Chief Igbinedion the foremost philanthropist is the founder of the first private university in Nigeria Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State.

The governor attainded the thanksgiving service in the accompany of the state deputy governor Philip Shaibu.
