Kano airport, two others shut over COVID 19

The Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport will be closed from operations in line with the federal government’s efforts to tame the spread of the deadly  coronavirus(COVID 19).

Port Harcourt Airport

According to the release made available to Nationupdate.com.ng from the office of the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Capt. Musa Nuhu, he said, the other airports affected are, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu; and the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.

Nuhu stated that Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos would still be operational, however stated that no flight operations will be allowed from the thirteen COVID-19 (Coronavirus) high-risk countries

The countries include, UK, U.S., China, Italy, Iran, South Korea,  Spain, Japan, France and Germany.
Also included are Norway,Netherlands and Switzerland.

He stated further that the three airports would be closed down till further notice, the order takes effect from Saturday, March 21.
