INEC partners MWUN for smooth delivery of electoral materials in Anambra riverine communities

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has been entrusted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with the responsibility of distributing electoral and voting materials to all riverine areas of Anambra State ahead of the off-season governorship election scheduled for Saturday November 8, 2025.

MWUN it will be recalled had signed partnership agreement with INEC headquarters in Abuja during the tenure of former Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, to handle the distribution of electoral materials across all littoral states of the federation.

In an e-signed release signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, the Union has acquired the needed expertise with top speed flying boats and its Seafarers have in the past executed the distributions of INEC materials across the country with a superlative track record. The recent was the Rivers State Local Government Elections (LGA), which was also a huge success.

Given, NWUN president general, a Veteran Sailor and the foremost Maritme Labour leader in Nigeria, has promised the people of Anambra State that his Seafarers will do a proper delivery to all the litoral areas of the State for a hitch free guber election on Saturday.

The collaboration between INEC and the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) in the distribution of electoral materials across the country has consistently proven successful. Consequently, the Union is well prepared once again to ensure efficient and timely delivery in the state ahead of Saturday’s election.
