I declined using bulletproof car donation from NDDC contractor – Nunieh

The former acting Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC), Joi Nunieh, has said the day she got to know that her official bulletproof car was provided by a contractor was the day she dropped it.

Speaking before the National Assembly committee investigating activities of the commission, she said it shocked her that a contractor would provide such for an organisation, which obviously means to compromise it.

Nunieh, decried that what troubled her about the situation was when she complained to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Goodwill Akpabio, he allegedly found nothing strange about such coming from a contractor.

The former MD said that since then, no official vehicle was approved for her use by the minister before her removal from office.
