Foundation Partners CFAO Yamaha to empower Child Amputees, educates Students on disability

In continuation of its objective to educate 10,000 children on disability and to empower child amputees with prosthetic limbs, The IREDE Foundation in partnership with CFAO Yamaha Motors took the disability inclusion message to Isolo Senior High School , Isolo Lagos State recently.

This project which was borne out of the need to help child amputees live independent and limitless lives as well as educate young ones about disability so as to bring bullying and stigmatisation of children with disabilities to the barest minimum was well received by students of the school.

In addition to the disability focused conversation held with the students, the disability comic book- IREDIANS was distributed to students of the school.

The program was well commended by teachers from the school and members of staff of CFAO Yamaha Motors present at the program.

The Foundation appreciates the ever present support of The Lagos State Ministry of Education, Education school districts and school administrators for their support towards the successful implementation of the project.

This year, The IREDE Foundation has reached over 20 government schools in Lagos state with the message of disability awareness.

The foundation is using this medium to call for an inclusive learning environment for children with disabilities across all schools so that the number of out of school children as a result of disability is brought to the barest minimum.
