Court grants man who hacks into MC Oluomo’s Facebook acct.bail

A Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos State has granted a 40 -year old man, Oluwaseyi Ogunwale bail over an alleged hacking into the Facebook account of the Lagos State Chairman of the Nation Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

Ogunwale, was tracked and arrested by the Police operatives from the Monitoring Unit, Ikeja, Lagos, from where he was charged before the Court for fraud.

Police sources, said Ogunwale hacked into Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, a,k.a MC Oluomo’s Facebook account requesting innocent people to forward their account numbers for Covid-19 palliative allowance, which was false, rather a quaint to defraud his victims.

The long arm of the law cought up with him, when he was traced down to Oshodi in Lagos where he was eventually arrested, he has also owned up to the crime stated that he actually hacked into Oluomo’s account with his phone numbers – 08163971959 and 07025787238.

The Police further discovered that Ogunwale was also obtaining money from innocent people for VIP tags, face cap and polo shirt bearing MC Oluomo Peace Competition for 2020.

The suspected, Ogunwale who was arraigned before Magistrate Mrs. O.O. Fajana, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.

The prosecutor, Mr. Kenrich Nomayo, has asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police prove that he actually committed the offense. The case was however adjourned.
