Benue steps up security with launch of Quick Response Squad

The Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has taken a significant step towards enhancing the state’s security architecture with the launch of the Quick Response Squad (QRS), a new security initiative aimed at providing rapid response to security emergencies across the state.

The officially inaugurated was conducted by the Benue State Deputy Governor, Dr. Sam Ode, on behalf of Governor Alia.

QRS, a collaborative effort that brings together personnel from the Civilian Protection Guard (CPG), Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), local hunters, and the Joint Task Force (JTF). This multi-agency approach is designed to leverage the strengths of each group to provide effective and efficient security responses, particularly in vulnerable communities across Benue.

The launch of the QRS is a clear indication of the Benue State Government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens. By providing a rapid response mechanism, the QRS is expected to help prevent and mitigate security threats, and ultimately contribute to the overall stability and development of the state.

With the QRS in place, Benue State is poised to take a proactive approach to addressing security challenges, and the government is confident that the initiative will yield positive results in the fight against insecurity.
