Angry neighbours have lynched to death a 38-year-old Commercial motorcycle rider popularly called ‘Boda Boda’ for allegedly having an affair with the wife of a prominent local religious leader.
The amorous relationship of the love birds got to a climax last Sunday in the village of Kumbatha in the constituency of Suba South, Kenya when the pastor returned home and met the man known as Onjiro and the wife on bed in his house.
As soon as the pastor yelled out for help, neighbors rushed to the location. The locals reportedly got so enraged after hearing the pastor sound the alarm that they locked Onjiro, inside the house.
Unfortunately, Onjiro was violently attacked by the enraged mob, who brandished crude weapons, till he died.
According to Chief Ombisa, the horrific murder took place on the priest’s house and the corpse was brutally disposed of at the perimeter gate of Kumbatha Primary School.
Reports were subsequently filed with the Magunga police station, and further investigations are still ongoing.
Sebastian Okiring, the Suba Deputy County Commissioner(DCC) has appealed to the public for information regarding the lynching of Onjiro.
In addition, he asked the general people to help him find the pastor and his wife. After the terrible catastrophe, the priest, his wife, and their children fled their home, and authorities are now looking everywhere for them. The community is still grieving over the tragic aftermath of a love triangle, even though the investigation has made some progress.
