APC Registration: Lagos lawmaker enjoins Igbos to register, fulfill their dreams

Igbos have been enjoined to grab the opportunity offered by the scheduled membership registration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to register into the fold of the rulling party to fulfil their political dreams.

The lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency ll at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu stated this in a release made available to Nation Update.

Idimogu, a frontline politician of Igbo extraction in Lagos said the forthcoming APC membership registration scheduled to commence on Monday January 25, 2021.will be a time for the Igbos to take their rightful place in the nation’s political equation.

The Igbos he said have a better choice to make by joining the party at the centre rather than playing opposition which has not benefited them.

The two-term member of the Lagos Legislative House advised his kinsmen in Lagos to register and join the ruling party in the state.

“APC is a great party, and Igbos have bright future in joining this party, it is party for all of us here in the state, well rooted and at the Federal level also.

“We will gain much by joining the APC to get our fair share of the national cake.This registration is a golden opportunity afforded us by the party which we cannot afford to toil with.

“I am using this medium to appeal to my Igbo brothers and sisters, especially those that reside in Lagos State to come out enmasse to partake in this APC membership registration which comes up 25th January, 2021.

“We should register and join this great party in Lagos. The truth is that Igbos have greater future in APC as a party,” the Igbo leader emphasised.

Idimogu as the highest political office holder of Igbo extraction in Lagos has within the periods before and after the coronavirus pandemic lockdown last year, visited most of the local governments areas in Lagos, preaching the good message of APC to them.

He had maintained that APC is a product that needs to be marketed which no one has properly done to the Igbos, and non has placed the issues properly on the table for them.

The renowned banker had within the period, visited most markets in Lagos such as, Computer village, Ikeja, Alaba International electronics market, Ojo, Trade Fair Complex market Ojo, Ladipo Motor Parts Market, Balogun market and a host of others.

In a recent release signed by the APC Lagos State Secretary, Hon. Lance Ogunyemi, the registration of new members and update of the party’s register will commence on Monday January 25 as approved by the National Caretaker Committee of the Party.

Ogunyemi, advised intending members to explore the opportunity and get registered at all zones, wards and local government areas of the state.

The registration he said does not attract any monetary payment, as newly registered members are advised to wait and collect their registration slips before leaving the registration venue.
