Christmas: MWUN PG, Comrade Bunu urges christians to emulate Christ’s love

The President -General of the Maritme Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, felicitates Christians on Christmas Celebration in Nigeria and across the world, harped on living a Christ-like life, tolerance and kindness.

Comrade Bunu urged Christians nationwide to remain steadfast, tolerant, and committed to God’s Kingdom despite trials and persecutions for their faith. Reminding them of Jesus’ suffering doing good, healing infirmities, helping mankind, yet rejected, persecuted and crucified.

In an e-signed release by comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna head of Media MWUN, Comrade Bunu urged Christians worldwide to live like Jesus – be tolerant, forgive often, be kind, love others like yourself. “Christianity is being ‘Christ-like”.  Praying we stay in God’s favor & grace in pursuit of the Kingdom.

The top maritime leader, says Jesus Christ is why we celebrate yuletide, urges commitment to charity, blessing the needy & vulnerable through alms giving, no matter religion, tribe, descent or colour. “Exhibit Christ-like attitude wherever you are” worldwide.

He praised Christians for their tolerance amid hard times, urging them to keep going despite persecutions in northern Nigeria – killings, displacement, out-of-school kids. “God sees what’s happening, will expose wicked elements,” he said. He went further to say, “God is love; we must give love a chance”, for Christians & Muslims to coexist peacefully.

Comrade Bunu says FG under President Tinubu  has power to stop insecurity; praying Nigeria regains “Giant of Africa” status. “God’ll answer prayers” this season he concluded.

Added, “As we celebrate the Christmas, I wish every Nigerian home and abroad a prosperous New year in advance.”
