AIG Oko hosts Shippers’ Council  delegation, pledges support for business-friendly environment

The Maritime Police Command has pledged to work closely with the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) and other maritime stakeholders to ensure law enforcement operations align with the Federal Government’s policy on Ease of Doing Business.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos Command, AIG Chinedu Oko gave the assurance last Wednesday when he received the NSC delegation led by Mrs. Ogbonnah Margaret, Director Regulatory Services, who paid a courtesy visit to the AIG at his office in Lagos.

During the visit, Mrs. Ogbonnah Margaret welcomed AIG Chinedu Oko to the Maritime Police Command, commending the Nigeria Police Force for its unwavering commitment to securing the maritime domain.

She expressed the Council’s desire to strengthen its partnership with the Command, focusing on trade facilitation, port security, and stakeholder engagement.

AIG Chinedu Oko, psc, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to working closely with the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and other maritime stakeholders. He assured that the Command’s law enforcement operations within port corridors would align with the Federal Government’s Ease of Doing Business policy, prioritizing security measures that facilitate legitimate trade and investment activities.
