Member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, has secured a sweeping victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the constituency, winning all 34 wards across the federal constituency.

The direct primary, conducted peacefully across the constituency, recorded a massive turnout of party members, with results from the three local government areas of Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro showed overwhelming support for the lawmaker ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Political observers across the constituency described the outcome as an “unprecedented victory”, noting that the exercise further strengthened confidence in the direct primary process as a true reflection of the wishes of party faithful.

The primary election, which was conducted peacefully across the federal constituency, witnessed impressive turnout of APC members who queued to cast their votes in what many described as one of the most transparent internal exercises in recent political history in the area.
