The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba,has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful, maritime stakeholders, and the general public.as they joined their colleagues across the world in celebrating this year’s Eid-el-Adha.
AIG Yusuf Garba however expressed that Eid-ul-Adha or Bakrid, being one of the two main festivals in Islam commemorating the devotion and submission of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to Allah’s will.
In a release signed by ASP Adebayo Rasheed, Police Public Relations Officer(PRO) Maritime Police Command, Force Headquarters Annex, Obalande, Lagos on Thursday made available to Nationupdate stated that the season calls for rededication to national rebirth.
The AIG said, “Eid al-Adha, a sacred celebration of faith, sacrifice, and unwavering obedience to the will of Almighty Allah, offers a profound reflection on values that fortify our collective commitment to duty, integrity, and service to the nation. It is a season that beckons renewed dedication to cooperation, patriotism, and compassion, especially in our shared pursuit of national development and peace.”
AIG Musa Yusuf Garba further reaffirmed that the Maritime Police Command remains resolute and vigilant in the discharge of its mandate to secure Nigeria’s territorial waters, ports, and critical maritime infrastructure. He further assured that robust security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety and tranquility of our waterways during and beyond the festive period.
“As we celebrate, may this sacred festival usher in peace across our shores, unity among our people, and divine blessings upon our great nation.
Eid Mubarak from all of us at the Maritime Police Command!,” he prayed.
