Idimogu to Muslims: Let Eid renew faith, strengthen national unity

Former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Jude Chukwuemeka Omobowale Idimogu, has urged Muslim faithful to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration as a moment of spiritual renewal and a catalyst for strengthening national unity.

In his Eid message, Idimogu congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan and encouraged them to remain steadfast in prayer for Nigeria’s peace, progress and collective prosperity.

He said the significance of Eid-el-Fitr goes beyond festivities, stressing that the season should reinforce faith in God while deepening love, harmony and togetherness among citizens.

“The celebration of Eid-el-Fitr should renew our faith in God and strengthen our bonds as one united country,” he stated.

The former lawmaker also called on the faithful to uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, particularly his enduring messages of unity, integrity, peaceful coexistence and good neighbourliness.

Idimogu further appealed to Muslim leaders to continue preaching love, tolerance and mutual respect, noting that no society can attain sustainable development without unity and shared values.

He reassured residents that governments led by the All Progressives Congress at both state and federal levels remain committed to protecting lives and property, irrespective of political affiliation.

He urged Muslims to emulate the virtues exemplified by Prophet Muhammad in their dealings with neighbours while praying for a peaceful and successful Eid celebration.
