Former two-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sir (Dr.) Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu, has celebrated former Senator and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Anthony Adefuye, on his 82nd birthday, describing him as a political institution whose experience remains valuable to Lagos.
Idimogu, in a congratulatory message marking Adefuye’s latest milestone, said the former senator’s decades of involvement in public affairs had established him as one of the respected elder statesmen in Lagos politics.

Adefuye
Adefuye, a third republic senator and member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), has remained active in the political affairs of the state, contributing his experience to political discussions and providing counsel within the APC.
Idimogu said Adefuye’s journey in public service represented decades of political experience, leadership and commitment to the development of Lagos.
According to him, the celebrant’s continued relevance in the state’s political affairs underscores the value of experience and institutional memory in governance.
“Your life of service and decades of experience in the political development of Lagos have distinguished you as a political institution. Your wealth of knowledge remains an asset to the state and to the younger generation of political leaders,” Idimogu said.
He congratulated Adefuye on attaining the age of 82 and expressed gratitude to God for preserving him through the years.

Hon Idimogu
“It is my pleasure to send my congratulatory message to you on this auspicious occasion of your 82nd birthday. I heartily congratulate you on today’s occasion and pray God to furnish your new age with sound mind and good health to celebrate many more years ahead,” he said.
Idimogu said the birthday was not merely an occasion to celebrate longevity but also an opportunity to acknowledge Adefuye’s contributions to public life and the political evolution of Lagos.
He noted that senior political figures such as Adefuye have an important role to play in mentoring younger politicians, preserving institutional knowledge and promoting stability within the political system.

The former lawmaker prayed for continued wisdom, good health and strength for the celebrant, expressing the hope that Adefuye would continue to contribute to the development of Lagos and Nigeria.
He also wished the APC chieftain more years of fulfilment, peace and purposeful service to humanity.
Adefuye’s 82nd birthday comes as he continues to participate in Lagos political affairs as a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, alongside other senior political leaders whose experience has helped shape the state’s political direction over the years.
Idimogu said the milestone was therefore worthy of celebration by political associates, friends, family members and others who have benefited from Adefuye’s experience and leadership.
