Group pressures Bello to contest for 2023 presidential poll

…Threatens Court action…

A group, the Inter Tribal Association of Ngeria (ITAN), has prevailed on Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State to make himself available, to contest the forthcoming 2023 Presidential elections.

The group to this end, has threatened to take legal action against the governor if he fails to heed to their call.

In a press statement last Saturday in Kaduna, the secretary of ITAN, comrade Jabir Maiturare, said that they had x-rayed the key personalities that have what it takes to lead the country and found Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello as the man who fits the definition of the position in terms of political sagacity, leadership achievements, followership and competence.

Maiturare explained that ITAN which comprised of different tribes and religion drawn from all part of the country had chosen Yahaya Bello against
many other aspiring candidates who had showed interest either publicly or otherwise in joining the 2023 Presidential race.

“As a result of Yahaya Bello’s capacity, influence, credibility and acceptance, ITAN passed a vote of confidence and endorse him becase his reputation speaks for him”, he said.

Maiturare added that Yahaya Bello had possessed the requisite experience, desired leadership qualities resulting from his rich experience in leadership service.

“Bello has demonstrated
competence in leadership and as a grassroot politician he is always expanding the
scope of youth and women participatory in governance”, he said.

According to Maiturare, Yahaya Bello’s courage, sagacity
foresight, resilience, tolerance, forbearance, focus and risk taking were legendary.

“His power of progressive ideas and capacity to reconcile all aggreived tribes
and rebuild the confidence expected of him as a stabilizing force and a bridge
builder because he combines courage, patriotism, tact, diplomacy and intellect to
navigate the murky waters of politics in Nigeria.

“It is on this noted that we at ITAN are calling on His
Excellency Yahaya Bello to join the race for presidential seat in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

“If Yahaya Bello says no or refuse to answer the clarion call, we at ITAN are ready to sue him to court”, he said.

”ITAN after it executive meeting have reached conclusion to buy the presidential intents form for Governor Yahaya Bello comes 2023″, Maiturare said.
