B’ODOGWU Platform revolutionizes customs operations in Kebbi Command

The Kebbi Area Command of the Nigerian Customs Service(NCS) has successfully processed its first declaration using B’ODOGWU, an indigenous platform developed by the Nigeria Customs Service that has revolutionized operations, facilitated trade and revenue generation.

The historic revelation was disclosed on Thursday 14 August, 2025 at a sensitization exercise on the B’ODOGWU platform, conducted by ICT Modernisation Officers for Officers and Stakeholders of the Command.

Comptroller CC Nwokorie, Customs Area Controller of the command expressed profound gratitude to Comptroller-General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for entrusting him with the leadership of the Kebbi Command and for spearheading the innovative B’ODOGWU initiative, which promises to boost revenue generation and trade facilitation.

In a release signed by Superintendent of Customs Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu, Public Relations Officer(PRO), of the Command, the controller urged Officers and Stakeholders to give utmost attention to the sensitization exercise, stressing that B’ODOGWU represents the future of Customs operations.

He Emphasized that, as a vital revenue generation tool, it is essential for Officers to acquire adequate knowledge of the platform and its applications.

At the end of the training session that exposed licensed agents and traders on how to register and effectively utilize the B’ODOGWU platform, Alhaji Muhammad Nahali Kamba, Chairman of the Nigeria Customs Licensed Agents, Kebbi State Chapter, praised the Comptroller-General’s initiative. He pledged the association’s commitment to adhering to the platform’s guidelines, ensuring its successful implementation.

The event culminated in a group photograph and a warm exchange of pleasantries, underscoring the collective enthusiasm for embracing innovation to enhance service delivery.
