AIT recognizes Comrade Taofeek’s outstanding service to MWUN, presents Best Staff Award

Comrade Taofeek Adeleke, a former Dockworker turned security personnel, has been recognized by the African Independent Television (AIT) as the Best Staff of MWUN for 2025, citing his exceptional crime detection skills and dedication to the Union.

Comrade Taofeek was hailed as a selfless Security Officer, whose dedication to the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has been unwavering. He has served the Union with diligence, vigour, and brilliance, earning him a spotless reputation.

In an e-signed release signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna head of Media MWUN, the Oyo State-born former Dockworker turned security personnel was credited by Union executives and colleagues for his keen eye for detecting potential crimes, often spotting them before they unfold.

While receiving the award in his office Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union, the Labour Activist lauded Comrade Taofeek’s dedication, commitment, loyalty, and responsiveness to duty.

Comrade Bunu described Taofeek as a standout staff who views answering duty’s call as a matter of personal dignity, going above and beyond to deliver results for his superiors and others, no matter the situation.

The Union leader, Comrade Bunu, encouraged Comrade Taofeek to keep up the good work, saying the award marks the beginning of even better days ahead.

Comrade Taofeek expressed gratitude to the PG and MWUN executives for their support and encouragement since his tenure began.
