As the call for Igbo presidency continues to muster support across the length and breath of the country, a Pro- Democracy group has called on Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, to make himself available to contest as president of Nigeria come 2033.
This the group, Project Nigeria Group(PGN), said Emeka Nwajiuba the current Minister of State for Education becoming president of Nigeria is achievable going by his detribalized mien, humility and experience.
Speaking at the maiden launching of the group in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, the Coordinator, Chief Val Mbamara.said PGN among other meaningful goals, was formed to champion the 2023 Presidential ambition of Hon Emeka Nwajiuba.
Mbamara, a former Commissioner and a seasoned politician, said the motive was wrought on the fact that Nwajiuba is a well respected son of Imo State, who is fully qualified in all ramifications to rule Nigeria.
He said his youthfulness, experience in Nigerian politics and the roles he has played so far as a cabinet minister especially on issues of education ministry and Covid-19.
“He is young, Educated, Experienced and with contacts across all the tribes of Nigeria. We are calling on Hon Nwajiuba to hear our call and join the 2023 Presidency Race” Mbamara said.
The group also has Chief Chinedu Ogubuike, as the National Secretary, and Hon Nze Ogbuji Longinus, a former Coordinator of Orlu North Development Centre as the Orlu LGA Coordinator.
Speaking at the occasion, the Orlu LGA Coordinator, Nze Longinus said Nwajiuba as a youthful Statesman fits so well into what Nigeria wants as President in 2023.
He assured him of the group’s unalloyed support should he make up his mind to contest, restating that PGN is solely championed by people of like minds with a focus on convincing the Minister to come out and be the arrow head for Ndigbo in the 2023 Nigerian Presidency.
Lending his voice, the general secretary, Comrade Ogubuike, stated that Nwajiuba is a material that cannot be allowed to waste, and therefore should hear the clarion call of PGN, a Pro-Democracy and Social-Political Group existing in the 36 States of Nigeria, maintained that their ears are eagerly itching to hear him accept the call.

Nwajiuba a two time honourable member of the House of Representatives, representing Ehime-Mbano/ Ihitte-Uboma and Obowo LGAs federal Constituency of Imo State, a member of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) is currently the Honourable Minister of State for Education.
