His commitment to grassroots democracy knows no boundary between ethnic, or religious sphere. He is a leader who has the interest of all and as such will ensure that people irrespective of where they come from benefitted from the surpluses of the nation’s endowments if given the opportunity to be the president of this country.
Member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi/Isolo constituency 11, Hon. Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu giving these attributes explained why the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the choice for president in the 2023 presidential race.
Idimogu had flagged off Abundance United Movement Lagos (AUML). The movement is aimed at promoting Tinubu’s ambition for president come 2023 polls and also for Hon. Mudashiru Obasa for Senate, Lagos West.
According to the law maker, “Tinubu has been in the forefront in the fight for democracy. Many have benefitted from him and he has made so many people including me”.
“He has been a great achiever, recall when the state was starved due to the seizure of its revenue under the Olusegun Obasanjo government, Tinubu came out with a formula that sustained the state. It’s that formula that has made the state what it is today in the area of internally generated revenue,” the law maker noted.
“You can’t take away politics from him, he has people across the country, and he has built bridges across both the Yoruba, Igbos and Hausas, he is a detrabalized Nigerian”, Idimogu stated.
“If you put him in that seat, within a short time the country will begin to move on a faster lane both in appointment of minister’s and heads of agencies.
“He has been a Senator and governor in the Lagos State. And besides, Lagos is performing, today, if you put him in that seat he will replicate those qualities to other states. A Nigerian president must be one who has local and international connection of people that will come and assist us and Tinubu has the capacity to move the country forward.
“Tinubu has shown me love and commitment.
“I feel the best way to say thank you to him is to mobilize my Abundance Group to actualize his presidential ambition, to tell people to come out in their numbers to support him to emerge the president of this country come 2023.
“We are also doing this for the support of my Speaker, my Oga, Obasa who is aspiring to be the senator of Lagos west, he has achieved much and needed to be supported.”
Idimogu said that every zone has a right to agitate and aspire especially for 2023 but argued that according to personal assessment the best candidate most qualified to rule Nigeria today is Tinubu
“For now, there’s no one as prepared and capable as Tinubu to rule this country. As far as I am concerned, as of today, he is the best candidate, experiences are there, as a governor and senator,” he said.
The law maker further argued that before you could achieve that height of presidency, you must have prepared well. From what I have seen the Easterners are not ready for now adding that the APC controls the center and most states at the moment.
“Power is dragged and struggled for, nobody dashes you power. Look at it, almost all the South western states are APC. When you talk of delegates to the election, they are more in the southwest. When you talk of APC, its farfetched for the Southeast, you know the party controls the center today,” the lawmaker said.
Idimogu however advised the Southeast to support capable hand that can do this country proud and restore its lost glory adding that Tinubu is capable of offering that.
“As far as I am concerned, Tinubu is the number 1 in this race for now, let us join the moving train. Let’s try and identify the political dynamism of Nigeria. Let’s be at the center, you can’t start and win a fight when you are outside.

Speaker Obasa
“Tinubu for President is non-negotiable, Obasa for Senate, no debate. However, my local council development area (LCDA) chairman,Hon. Monsuru Oloyede Bello (Obe) and the Oshodi/Isolo LGA chairman will go for second terms, all things being equal, all of them will achieve their re-election.
“We are all working as a family, you cannot play politics alone. Power is not given, you must work for it. We have continued to encourage people to register into the party and alsi have their voters’ card. When these are done, victory is assured,” Idimogu noted
On what percentage of votes envisaged for Tinubu in Lagos west, Idimogu said that Lagos west is the largest senatorial zone in the state and in Nigeria adding that Lagos west has the largest vote.
“This time around we are mobilizing from underground to make sure those that did not have the opportunity to vote before now do have the opportunity to vote. We are warming up for the main match. By the time we get there, it’s all over” he expressed.
“You can see, with the abundance group, my constituents and my Igbo brothers in Lagos, expect massive votes for Tinubu,” the Igbo leader said.
