Tinubu rings NASDAQ stock market closing bell in New York

The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday rang the closing bell of the NASDAQ stock market in New York.

Tinubu and President of the U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Scott Eisner, together ring the closing bell on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

The bell ringing ceremony around 4:00pm (New York time) took place on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly held at the seven-storey tower of the Nasdaq headquarters signifying the end of a trading session.

Ranked second on the list of stock exchanges by market capitalisation of shares traded, behind the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq is the most active stock trading venue in the US by volume.
