Tanzanian company in high demand of plastic bottles for face masks

The pressing need to protect its citizens from the spread of coronavirus and also for economic gains, a recycling plant in Tanzania has commenced trading paper for plastic bottles for the production of face shields.

The company, Zaidi Recyclers, located at port city of Dar es Salaam has traded paper for plastic bottles, for the manufacturing  of anti-coronavirus face shields that are being monopolized by hospitals and health centres across the country.

The face shields which have come handy as a vital piece of personal protective equipment for health workers in this era of coronavirus pandemic, Zaidi no doubt switched into its production as a necessity.

After several proposals to re-open schools failed, schools in South Africa today monday resumed , having been closed down on the 15th of March, 2020 by President Cyril Ramaphosa as the deadly novel virus spreads in  the Africa’s most advanced economy.

Children have started returning to classrooms as part of a gradual loosening of lockdown in the country  occasioned  By the outbreak.

Teachers’ unions  had urged schools staff to defy the government order to resume last week, saying schools lacked sufficient health and hygiene measures to keep educators and pupils safe, a development that had led to this delay.

South Africa has recorded 48,285 cases with 998 death cases of the coronavirus – the most of any country in sub-Saharan Africa.
