SIFAX joins to fight COVID-19, donates to NPA

As the coronavirus continues to eats deeper into the finances and sends echoes of uncertainties to governments, agencies and individuals, SIFAX Group has made donation of  protective equipment  to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Some of the equipment donated include, 100 cartons of hand sanitizers, 200 boxes of hand gloves, 20 packs of special nose masks and 100 boxes of nose masks.

In a release made available to nation update, the Corporate Affairs officer of the SIFAX Group, Philips Ojo, said the donation  was part of the group contribution to the fight of the Coronavirus pandemic. He said the donation was made through the Nigerian Ports Authority Liaison office at Tin Can Island.

The release stated thus: “At the short ceremony, Capt. Ibraheem Olugbade, Executive Director, SIFAX Off Dock, explained that as an organization committed to flattening the curve and curbing the spread of COVID-19, SIFAX Group is donating 100 cartons of hand sanitizers, 200 boxes of hand gloves, 20 packs of special nose masks and 100 boxes of nose masks to the Nigerian Ports Authority.”

Receiving the items, the NPA Port Manager, Tin Can Island, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Ali, expressed heartfelt gratitude to SIFAX Group for the kind gesture, saying it was timely, promised to make a prompt delivery of the donation to the NPA headquarters, he further  assured that the equipment will be put to utmost use.
