The Ondo State House of Assembly has suspended the deputy speaker of the house, Irioju Ogundeji, and another member of the House, Adewale Williams, for alleged unruly behaviour according to the house.

The suspension took place at plenary on Wednesday. The two lawmakers were among the nine  that kicked against impeachment move of Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

This may not be unconnected with the avowed efforts of the government to whittle down the support base of the embattled deputy governor, and make way for his eventual impeachment

Nonetheless, his continued stay in the government house and as a member of the state executive council is like a torn in the flesh of the government of the day.
