Manhood Disappearance: Of 62 reported case, 51 suspects in court for raising false alarms in one month – Police

The Nigerian Police Force said no fewer than 62 alleged cases of manhood disappearance have been reported in Federal Capital Territory(FCT) command of the force since September 2023.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna G. Garba, in a statement on Friday, said among the 62 cases reported to the command, 51 were discovered to be false alarms.
Garba explained that the suspects who raised the alarms had been arrested and charged in court.
He, therefore, called on residents to always cooperate with security operatives in a bid to ensure that the city is free of crimes.
The FCT police boss said, “The first case of male organ disappearance was first recorded in Gwagwalada on 21/09/2023. It has spread all over FCT whereby as of today we have had a total of sixty-two (62) cases reported.”
“Fifty-one (51) suspects charged to court for giving false information and inciting public disturbance. To this end, I want to reiterate my commitment and willingness to always work with you (residents of FCT) to defeat crime in all its forms in the Federal Capital Territory,” the statement added
