Imo house member appoints 30 aids, gives reason

…Promises to announce more names

The member representing the good people of Onuimo in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. James Esile Ubah, has justified his appointment of 30 constituents as special advisers.

According to Hon Ubah, they were great assets to the constituency and to the state in general going by their contribution in making the reelection dream of Gov. Hope Uzodimma come true.

Justifying his action and motive behind such, the lawmaker described his appointees as grassroots politicians through whose efforts the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma and his electoral victories were made manifest and consolidated. That they made the voice and mandate of their people to Uzodimma to stand.(as reported by the Leadership).

“These are grassroots men and this has shown that politics is all about people as I did not make it alone. They worked for me, and together we will make Onuimo better,” Ubah said.

The house member promised to unveil another batch of special advisers soon. However charged the 30 politicians already appointed to go into the grassroots to make peace and do things differently for the betterment of the society.

It will be recalled that in July 2023, Governor Hope Uzodimma through his deputy then Prof. Placid Njoku, swore in 247 special advisers which brought his expanded exco then to over 300.

As noticed, most of the special advisers them were often seen loitering around the seat of power and at state functions appearing stranded, without offices, confused and in very pathetic state.
